Since we just got back from a whirlwind trip around Europe and then made the drive from Canada to Portland with the dogs, we thought it might be a good idea to have a lazy weekend. Of course, by the time the weekend arrived, we were fiending for an adventure.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved Diwali. I love the sparkling lights, the candles, the divas, the traditions, and the excitement I see on my parent’s faces.
Gabbar got skunked and only one thing helped get the smell out: a mixture of 1-quart hydrogen peroxide, ¼ cup baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of dish-washing liquid.
Gabbar just turned 10! I have no idea where the last 10 years with him have gone and I’d be lying if I said his birthdays weren’t becoming a bit bittersweet.
It was barely Monday before we were already thinking about adventures for the upcoming weekend. We checked the weather forecast for our usual haunts (Portland, the coast, Hood River) but couldn’t find any ideal weather. We decided to look in another direction and ended up deciding that we would spend the weekend in Bend.
As usual, Zeke woke us up nice and early on Saturday morning. The weather forecast was predicting rain, but it hadn’t started yet and since we were up anyway, I suggested we head down to the waterfront for a walk. We’ve never been down there so early and it was nice because it wasn’t as busy as usual.
It’s back. The shit is back. Yup, Zeke has the poops again! This time has been bad, maybe even worse.
